One of the uses I see for SuperKaramba is being able to
make a custom desktop for your users. Let's say you
want one big button on the screen and nothing else, it
would be no problem to disable kicker and create a
Karamba theme for it.
However, in the sense of a public terminal, or a kiosk,
the user can still right-click on the karamba theme and
have access to change things. Adding in hooks for KDE
Kiosk features would be great in this sense, so that
one could build a desktop using Karamba theme(s) and
deploy it as a kiosk or lab terminal.
I posed this to the original author who did not seem
too interested in the feature, so if there is someone
who could code this in, I for one can think of plenty
of uses for it.

I'm the "original author" of SuperKaramba and I don't remember
hearing about this idea. Maybe you were referring to Hans, the
original author of Karamba before I started my work. In any case,
I think it is a great idea! I don't know anything about the kiosk
API, but I will take a look and hopefully code up something soon.

It must have been Hans. I apologize for the
misrepresentation, as I'm still a little lost on the
Karamba/SuperKaramba differences and such.
Thanks for looking in to that!
