Firstly I am a newb to the world of Linux. I am learning and getting there slowly. I am running my PC on Slackware 9.0 and I have downloaded the latest version of super karamba. as of 04/05/2003. I have installed it as root by the following way
tar -xzvf nameofpackage.tar.gz
cd /root/nameofpackage
./configure
make
make install
All seems to go well and there are no error messages. At a konsole I type superkaramba and the default theme works fine no problems at all.
However when I try to load a different theme IE Tuxbar, Dynbar, etc etc none of them seem to work. There are no errors in the Konsole window but there is no bar appears like I would like.
What have I done wrong ?

I don't know what you have done wrong because all you have said is "it doesn't work" :)
Can you paste in the output of SuperKaramba from when you run any themes that don't work?
Just copy the text from the konsole window after you load a theme that doesn't work.

Hello and thankyou for taking the time to reply. I will try my best to show you what my porblem is I can guarantee its something I have or havent done.
Heres a screenie of my desktop after attempting to load Tuxbar. At a console I typed superkaramba, then what I did was browse to the directory containing the Tuxbar theme and opened the theme file there is unfortunately no tuxbar to be seen. I have tried clicking all over my desktop but I can find it anywhere. Heres the screenie. http://www.3dbistro.com/ftp/paulindevon/snapshot1.jpg
Now my second one is an attempt to load the default theme that comes with super karamba (The System monitor.) Again At a console I type superkaramba and browse to the example directory That works fine. Heres the screenie. http://www.3dbistro.com/ftp/paulindevon/snapshot2.jpg
Today I went for a fresh install of Slackware 9.0 I used the expert install and made sure anything to do with python was installed. I also installed just about everything else that could be useful. I downloaded the latest version of Superkaramba and did the usual
./configure
make
make install
I thought it may be useful to sae the console output and put it on a kword doc. If you or anyone wishes to take a look I have uploaded the document to hear. Its 28 k in size and was all I could get from the console. There appears to be a lot of warnings in there that may help someone used to these thing figure out what I did wrong. Here is the link http://www.3dbistro.com/ftp/paulindevon/SKInstall.kwd Hoefully someone can help me I really want to be able to use some of those fantastic themes.
Thankyou
Regards Paul
