Every theme I've used so far seems to have an issue with text display, which leads me to think this might be a superkaramba bug and not a specific problem with the themes themselves. In all cases, the text seems to get cut off. Here are some examples:

    http://www.projectpontiac.com/tmp/snapshot1.png
    http://www.projectpontiac.com/tmp/snapshot2.png
    http://www.projectpontiac.com/tmp/snapshot3.png
    http://www.projectpontiac.com/tmp/snapshot4.png
    http://www.projectpontiac.com/tmp/snapshot5.png

(it's not just the themes, the Karamba window itself is afflicted).

This is on a Gentoo 1.4 system running KDE 3.1.2.

the problem is, i suppose, both a problem with karamba and with your specific font settings.  karamba sets sizes on a pixel-specific setting.  so when you've got your fonts too big for the space alloted for the text area, they're gonna get choppy.  try either setting fonts smaller, or try editing the themes so they give more room for the text section (this is probably a bad idea, as itll make the themes look bad).

Setting which fonts smaller? I just tried setting all my system fonts to a ridiculously small size (4pt) and it changed nothing with regards to the display of the themes. Those fonts remained at the same size. I know absolutely nothing about python, so editing the script file isn't an option either. My few attempts to do so resuled in no changes whatsoever. How are font sizes defined in superkaramba themes? Does the theme author get to specify point size vs. pixel size? I wasn't able to see any such definition in the theme scripts. Shouldn't the font sizes in superkaramba be specified in pixel values anyways? Specifying them as a point value changes their actual pixel size relative to the screen resolution. This penalizes anyone who runs their screen resolution at more than 1280x1024 (like me).

yeah, you need to edit the sizes in the script file.  if ya need a hand, just drop me a line....i just sent you an email at your users.sourceforge.net account.

I finally figured it out :) I just changed the font size in every instance of "prettyText" to two sizes smaller, and now everything fits (barely). At least in this theme. I guess I'll have to edit the script for each and every theme I intend to use :(

if the developer of the theme ;-) used a constant at the top of the py file so that it would be MUCH easier to change.  The same with the font, etc.

Just like the old days with Pascal...
