ND 1 has Vendor / Organizationally Unique Identifier (OUI) Search in the advanced node search. I think we should implement this as a Node Inventory report by Vendor / OUI with a sidebar to limit results. Also, considering using wireshark type vendor abbreviations to consolidate the list of vendors.

I do wonder how useful this is on anything but the smallest of networks.

Perhaps I don't understand what the report would be. Is it just showing all nodes with a particular vendor prefix? What's the use case for that?

I would like to be able to link to this report from the vendor tag within port view connected nodes. The use case is to investigate uncommon vendors and hopefully gain insight by viewing the number of appearances and their location.
