To say I know nothing of linux is an overstatement..I know less.. so trying to make my way through the reame docs is like reading a foreign language... but Im getting there slowly.
Ive installed the VA, and have assumed most of the readme/install info about setup is nnot needed, as I can get to the webui, and login.. so I must need only to config the conf file and devicelist... here is my problem. Im using filezilla to get the files, but am not able to edit or copy them back due to permissions.
Can someone please help?

How did you install the VA? Have you got any instructions :)
There is an install script for CentOS/RHEL on Github https://github.com/EarlRamirez/netdb, check it out and let me know if you have any issues.
