The purpose of the Netdata is to provide a visual graphing tool by which hosts network stats are displayed. A script called networkdata.py runs every minute via crontab and gathers data based on active adapters in ifconfig as well as capturing RX (receive) and TX (transmitted) data in /proc/net/dev/. All data is stored in a mysql database and uses the phpgraphlib (http://www.ebrueggeman.com/phpgraphlib). This app will only work on NIX environments and has been tested on Red Hat and Ubuntu.
