The purpose of the Netdata is to provide a visual graphing tool by which hosts netwrok traffic is displayed on by host and network adapter. A script called networkdata.py runs every minute via crontab and gathers data based on active adapters in ifconfig aswell as capturing RX (recieve) and TX (transmitted) data in /proc/net/dev/. This data is len written to a mysql database on Monk. Netdata runs on all linux servers. Future implementation may include running on Windows servers as well.
