#10 Can't paste from Windows to Linux

I am able to copy something from Linux and paste it in
Windows, however when I copy from Windows and Paste in
Linux nothing happens. I can't figure out what's wrong.
I'm running Windows XP Home SP 1 and Mandrake Linux 10.
I have a router with a firewall, but I don't think the
firewall should be affecting it if it's only working
over a local network right?
