I am interested in using Netatalk to host Time Machine backups. I have two questions regarding Bolke de Bruin's FPSyncDir work[1]. 1. Is this FPSyncDir code, as included in CVS, considered "safe?" It seems to work with Time Machine. 2. Does anyone know approximately when a new release will be made that will include the FPSyncDir code that is in CVS? Thanks. I've been running code since November backing up two mac laptops to a Drobo/DroboShare. I also did a full TM based restore of one of the backups without any issues. This was using the FPSyncDir patch. Given that about 10 various open source projects were cross-compiled in an ubuntu vmware image on my osx laptop, for an arm architecture, I actually find this all rather magical that it works as well as it does. I'm currently in the process of testing with CVS head and have so far done a large 5gig backup without issues. That isn't saying much in terms of testing though. Still more work to do there. =) cheers, jon On Thu, May 21, 2009 at 9:18 PM, W. Michael Petullo <mi...@fl...> wrote: > I am interested in using Netatalk to host Time Machine backups.
