I have netatalk version 2.2.1 running on a CentOS 5 machine, that recently, last 6 months has had issues with disconnects. The scenario is that the clients are all ok as long as they are using the netatalk service, but if they go off to work on a local file for a while, approximately 30 mins then the netatalk service will be gone from finder, and if they are using indesign and happen to have open a file on the network share it will crash.
my afpd.conf file was :-
- -udp -noddp -uamlist uams_dhx.so,uams_dhx2.so -nosavepassword -advertise_ssh -setuplog "default log_info /var/log/afpd.log"
I've now changed it to
- -tcp -noddp -uamlist uams_dhx.so,uams_dhx2.so -nosavepassword -advertise_ssh -setuplog "default log_info /var/log/afpd.log"
Thinking maybe it is the use of UDP that was causing the issue.
The clients are using Mac OS X version 10.6.8 and unto 10.8.3. We think that everything later than 10.7.x are experiencing the issue.
So has anyone else seen this issue? Should I upgrade to the latest stable 2.2.4 ? Or has anyone ported 3.0.x to CentOS 5 (my initial attempt starts up but then immediately dies)?
