that's the unfortunate consequence if noone dedicate the required 
resources to maintain this project.

Luckily folks from ixsystems are looking into providing a fix and I will 
ship a new release once we have nailed the fix.

Generally, at this point I can only advice to stop using Netatalk. There 
are more pending CVEs that I currently don't have the bandwidth to work on.
