Hi all, I'm experiencing a strange issue here running CentOS 6.3 with Netatalk that I was hoping someone else might have seen before. Let me describe my configuration first... CentOS 6.3 Netatalk 3.0.5 Windbind against Active Directory Mac OS 10.8 Client Now when I run Netatalk out of the box everything appears to be good. I authenticate with a domain account and I'm allowed to access the share as my permissions allow. Read, Write, Delete etc all seems to work. If I select a file or folder in the finder and Get Info, I see that the ACL reads unknown for the domain accounts. If I configure LDAP in my afp.conf file then the unknowns turn into the correct users and groups. Now the problem that occurs after configuring LDAP is that when I try to write to the share the Finder prompts me to authenticate with my OS X admin username and password. I'm able to read everything I have rights to, I'm definitely allowed to write to the folder but the Finder prompts me to authenticate again for each write operation. I've been scratching my head on this one for awhile, any insight would be greatly appreciated! -Philip |
