I'm investigating about LOCALE on Fedora 16. If ATALK_UNIX_CHARSET is UTF8, the surrogate pair can be used for volume name. http://www003.upp.so-net.ne.jp/hat/netatalk/utf8.png If ATALK_UNIX_CHARSET is LOCALE, the surrogate pair cannot be used for volumename. It's mangled. http://www003.upp.so-net.ne.jp/hat/netatalk/locale.png The locale of Fedora 16 seems to be unable to treat the surrogate pair. My experiment is very special.
