if i try to make TM backups from my MBP with yosemite it`s very slow, since i updated to yosemite. The other side is a raspberry pi with archlinux and the actual version of netatalk.
Thank you for your help.
I have the same problem, im running netatalk 3.1.6 (rpm compiled from rpm source) on a Centos 7 server with xfs as filesystem.
The mac log shows the following error:
22-10-14 22:50:22,000 kernel[0]: /SourceCache/AppleFSCompression_kexts/AppleFSCompression-68.1.1/Compressors/Dataless/compressorType5Kext.c:537: Error: post_request error for /Volumes/Time Machine Backups/Backups.backupdb/JanuzMacbook/2014-10-22-224113.inProgress/F08A968A-885D-48C8-A87D-92BAE2C5E382/Macintosh HD/.DocumentRevisions-V100/PerUID/501/1c/com.apple.documentVersions/FAD87CC0-D9A9-49F8-B20E-075A3FE00240.log: 35
How slow is "very slow" and what kind of performance are you expecting?
I've been doing TM backups with my Ventura system for a few weeks, and I agree it isn't super fast, but I'm not sure exactly what a good baseline is.
