#12 please show multiple ip addresses with ifconfig

Please, please, please, would it be possible to include something like the patch included in the Debian BTS [1] to make ifconfig display *all* IP addresses on an interface?

It must be now like the 100th time that I hunt a virtualized system for some IP address only to find out after a quarter of an hour, that the problem is in fact, that ifconfig just doesn't show the address.

I guess you'd spare a lot of sysadmins that haven't yet switched to the "ip" command a lot of time...

I am not sure if we want to add netlink API, I track those requests in a seperate milestone now. If somebody wants to contribute mail net-tools-devel@ please.
