#1297 patch to reduce IFMIB cache time to three seconds on Solaris

Hello,

the attached patch is generated against netsnmp-5.7.3.

It provides a reduced cache ttl for IFMIB on the Solaris platform. It's been 30 seconds before, which is

  • different from the cache ttl on e.g. Linux
  • not suitable for 32bit counters in times of 10GB ethernet

The patch reduces the alarm time of the general cache aging mechanism, so other caches might be configured to a cache ttl of a multiple of three seconds as well. The patch however modifies only the default cache ttl of the MIB_INTERFACES cache.

I haven't noticed a notable impact on resource usage, so i guess it's save to apply in general.
