A new release of the 5.4.x Net-SNMP package is
now available from the SourceForge download servers.
This is mostly bug fixes over the previous release.
The most significant changes over 5.4.2 are:
- improved support for building on Linux and Windows systems,
- AgentX support listens on localhost (only) by default
- improved handling of multiple matching access control entries
- support for monitoring large disks (>2Tb).
This release also includes the fix for CVE-2008-4309
(which was previously made available as the security release 184.108.40.206)
