length of snmpEngineID

Hi All,

Could you please let me know length of snmpEngineID.  Is it 12 octets or 32
octets.

In RFC 3411 (https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3411.txt) ,
mib object 'snmpEngineID' says  12 octets in description and 32 octet in
the range .

Kindly guide.
