Hi All,
I am using snmptrapd to receive the snmp traps, if I do not want to keep any number traps around in memory, do I set up a snmptrpad.conf file in /usr/etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf  ( this directory looks unusual, but this directory stated in man page) and specify DontRetainLogs true in the file ?
please confirm this.
I found, when I do not have this file( if the variable relate to this memory), the snmptrapd's (net_snmp_5.1.1) memory is increasing through the time, eventually core dump, now I installed the net_snmp_5.2.1 ,  the  snmptrapd memory is still increasing ( It looks like memory leak, but I am not sure ?), does anyone know, if we do not have the snmptrapd.conf with DontRetainLogs true set up,  the memory is growing, and  what is the maximum memory should grow up to? and is the memory growing related to the above variable in snmptrapd.conf ?
