First off, I love the emulator and this team's work on it; it's the most professional DS homebrew I've ever seen. Thanks for coming on the scene!
I applied the latest Final Fantasy 2 English translation to a probably good rom dump of FF2, and there are graphical issues in battles when Sprite-per-tile is used as the rendering technique. The windows in game move around and glitch.

I can't provide a picture of the glitch, though, as it happens for only a few frames but messes up the display significantly.
There a native(or hacked?) English version of Final Fantasy 2, you could use that.
I got the same issues when play that game with Sprite-per-tile. I tried to fix that, but failed. This game use some tricks to change sprite0 in mid-frame, which makes the Sprite-per-tile mode had to emulate.
You'd better use the puresoft mode, that is what needed what issues comes, and I think that is acceptable.
