Hello, Is Ernie, or any other Perl hacker alive & kicking on this list? We (still) have a problem with getting Neomail to work with Fedora Core 3+ and I wondered if any work has been done to find and fix the issue? It's the old issue of Neomail not letting you login - I think Ernie thought it was something to do with suid-perl. I'm not a Perl guru, but the tests I did indicated that the eval statement in neomail.pl that calls checklogin.pl always gets a negative result from checklogin.pl even though checklogin.pl is doing what it's supposed to do. >From googling this issue, it looks like no-one has found the answer yet, which is a bit suprising as it's been outstanding for so long now ;) If anyone has any ideas or wants to collaborate to get to the bottom of it, please let me know... Cheers, Chris |

Is there a way to include the original "To:, From:, Subject" when forwarding a message. Placing it right below "----- Forwarded Message Follows -----" would be ideal. I am most interested in getting the original "From" address in the forward. Thanks Troy Brown |

Hello, I fresh installed server with the newest version of Fedora 5 and Neomail 1.29. Then occur problems... I can't login to Neomail. In Apache error_log are: "Can't access() script referer http://mydomain/cgi-bin/neomail.pl". All permissions are OK, more: this same lake in my old version Neomail 1.25. Maybe it's unsolved problem like have Chris with Fedora Core 3 posted on list 2005-02-21? I've googled and noticed thats not only my problem, but solution not found. Please help me back Neomail working on new Fedora. System: Fedora Core 5 SuidPerl: 5.8.8-4 from RPM Pam Authentication Regards, Jan Gorski |

I was hoping to maintain an email as new, so that the subject line stayed bold. I was testing whether or not i could accomplish this by sending the email from the inbox to the inbox, and now the email is completely gone, i cannot find it in any of the folders. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks JM |

Hello Suri, depending of the number of mails there are 2 possible szenarios: 1. Manually forward the mails to a POP3 account in Neomail 2. Copy the mails from neomail to your POP3 spool file In both cases you would then retrieve the mails by POP3. Greetings Torsten surendra singh schrieb: > I've changed my DNS server and unfortunately I lost all mails which were saved on my computer but they are still there in NeoMail; please kindly help me to export these messages from NeoMail. > > Tahnks > Suri > > > --------------------------------- > To help you stay safe and secure online, we've developed the all new Yahoo! Recently I have noticed that as I TAB through the "COMPOSE MESSAGE" form, the cursor follows a strange path. I don't remember it going like it does now in the past, but I could also just be crazy. I'd like to adjust this, and I know my way around html and did install neomail on my server, however I do not know the inner workings of neomail specifically. I did install a couple 'mods' that were listed off the main neomail site, but it was a LONG time ago. I remember installing the fixed width display and possibly one other. Right now, if I click my cursor in the white box to the right of the To: field and hit tab tab tab etc... The order is as follows below: I'm using Windows 2000 and XP with Firefox browser, however IE seems to work the same. Neomail is installed on a Gentoo LINUX server with the following versions: Neomail: 1.27 perl: v5.8.7 built for i686-linux apache: Apache/1.3.34 (Unix) (Gentoo) Tab order: To: Subject: CC: Message Body BCC: Send Button Reply-To: Cancel Button Close window button (up folder button under the CO in COMPOSE) Neomail link at bottom of page URL bar |

Hello, I am a newbie, and I just installed Neomail on Fedore Core 3 successfully without any problems. For some reason, Neomail won't let me login saying: Sorry, the password you entered was incorrect! I have double checked all the permissions, and also tested out ./checklogin.pl which shows that login is successful. But for some reason, I am not able to login to Neomail. Neomail.log shows the following entry: UNKNOWNUSER - invalid login attempt for username=whatever-username I have looked through the FAQ and the forums, but couldn't find anything helpful. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Saleem |

Im trying Neomail and Cyrus21 pop3 server running on a debian woody system. But it appears neomail does not know the cyrus spool directory structure. Does neomail knows cyrus spool directry structure and I just have to know how to conf for it or it really does not? And, if so, does neomail can access pop3 mailboxes (cause it would solve my problem)? Thank you Tom |
