Boy -- sourceforge is acting weird..... tried posting this earlier today. Changes from version 1.20pre, rerelease: * Fixed a newly introduced bug with sent message dates not showing up properly just after sending. Thanks to Roddie Hasan for the heads-up. * Finally got around to handling two-digit years in Date fields so they sort right. ;) * Message-ID headers should no longer be an issue, no matter what. NeoMail now computes a Message-ID for each message itself, using an MD5 checksum of the header. It strips the Status: header before doing the checksum, so status changes won't affect message IDs. However, NeoMail could find itself unable to find a message that was listed before if you're simultaneously modifying message headers while in a NeoMail session. That's the only drawback I can see compared to the huge benefit of avoiding coping with handling message-id: headers or lack thereof. I debated long and hard over whether this would break my oath of "no additional modules required," but since most systems that ship with Perl installed have the MD5 module installed already as well, and so many other Perl scripts require it, I went ahead and implemented it. If you're one of the few who needs to install the module yourself, grab it from CPAN at www.cpan.org. http://neomail.sourceforge.net |
