I've done some major refactoring. See the commit log. You might want to
check out into a different directory esp. if you've made any changes as
most of the files have been moved around and CVS doesn't handle that
well.

This has made the GUI uninteresting (i.e. there's no data and no way to
change it). Fixing that is the next step.
