#62 about window auto-resizing.

Latest dev. version.

Open two tabs in one nedit window. Change the font size
but the window doesn't auto-resized.

This is cause by a bug-fix but actually is not a good
and logical solution.

A better solution might be: for example, when you
change the font size in one tab/window, all the font in
all the tabs/windows should also be changed. In a word,
the font and line numbers are the global seetings for
all tabs and windows.

Make text fonts a shell-level setting will offend even more
users, I guess. Unfortunately we can only choose to live in
    one world.

We've had the ability to set the font for separate windows for a long time. Withdrawing that feature will be difficult. There's no way to change the fonts for all open windows at once, if there was, it might be easier to live with.

I'm beginning to think reshaping a window to (preserve the character geometry) is one of those things some people love and others hate. Setting the policy either way doesn't seem to work.

How about setting the font for all the tabs in the same
openned window (instead of for all the openned window)?

For me, font settings are clearly belonging to a single

We have three kind of settings already (document, global,
preferences), we shouldn't add another one.

This looks like a feature request to me.

This is a feature request, and not a useful one if you ask
me. There is already the pref setting, I don't see why we
need a global setting on top of that.
