Tried to implement this and even 2-3 "Find Again"-like items.
    Just committed to CVS.

Something was obviously overlooked: it makes sense to
open/find/goto selections in other applications (eg, xterm).
    See http://www.nedit.org/archives/discuss/2002-Jan/0015.html

I don't know whether it's possible to make these menu
entries sensitive to selections in other apps, but the
current behavior is certainly not desirable.

I hadn't thought of that. We might have to revert this out,
unless there is a relibable way to catch selection changes
in other programs. I use things "Find Selection" from other
windows all the time. Good catch.

Ok, bring that item back to life.
Someone else to undo the changes? Has
someone verified that all items do actually
    respect external selections?

    External selections are respected.
Changes have been reverted; can be closed.
