Is it on purpose that the staticstics line is dark grey
in NEdit 5.2RC1?
This was not the case in NEdit 5.1.1. It used to be
normal grey, which is more readable and less
distracting.

Not intentionally. It used to be that the statistics line
color was not controllable by the user, we've fixed that
(see 431891). If you could give us a bit more info on your
system we might be able to figure out why it's doing this.
Please type "appres NEdit" and let us know what you get.

From your picture, it looks like a KDE 2.0 bug. KDE has
a feature where it can change the colors of non-Qt apps.
It's trying to make NEdit look like the rest of the KDE
windows. Unfortunately, it doesn't do it correctly. You
might want to turn off the feature that is something like
"apply KDE colors to non-KDE apps". Unfortunately, they do
this with an app-default file, which we clearly state NOT to
do. (They did it right in KDE 1.x.)

In the meantime, you can use the resource
"nedit*statsLine.background" to change the color to what you
like. Unfortunately, since KDE included an app-defaults
file, you might have to remove it or modify it for it work.

Obsolete. Statistic line was changed in 5.4Dev.
