#76 Extending to end-of-line misdraws cursor

Program (402)

If you extend the cursor to the end of the line, the
cursor is only half drawn.

To repeat: On any line of text that is shorter than
the width of the window, press Shift+End. Notice the
cursor is only two dots instead of the whole I-beam.

Now, press Home, then End. Notice the cursor is drawn

This happens in 5.1 and 5.2.

I cannot confirm this. I see a correctly drawn cursor, both
with and without heavyCursor true and false, and with
different font settings. I tested this for NEdit 5.1.1 and a
    recent BETA-5.2 from CVS:

Built on: Linux, x86, GNU C
    Built at: Sep 15 2001, 11:18:24
    With Motif: 2001 [@(#)Motif Version 2.1.30]
    Running Motif: 2001

    Note: XFree86 4.0.3

I noticed that the horizontal bars of the I-bar draw inside
the area that gets a different background. Could this have
    something to do with it?

I can confirm this. If I set the cursor blink rate
(nedit*cursorBlinkRate) to 0, I get the same behaviour.
Otherwise, the cursor is drawn correctly _after_ the
    first blink.
Also, when nedit*heavyCursor is set to False, only a few
pixels at the top and bottom of the cursor are drawn.

It seems that the (very complex) logic in function
redisplayLine() [textDisp.c] fails to detect that the
cursor has to be redrawn in this case.

The disdraw also happens if you unselect the area in a
    similar way:
    1. Put cursor to eol
    2. Shift-Home to select line.
    3. Shift-End to unselect.
