#549 Bogus XKEYSYMDB makes Motif interoperable

The linux prebuild does not run on SLES 9.3. NEdit
spills out a bunch of error messages and does not
accept input after the window comes up.

    This is really an OS bug, and it's likely it will be fixed
    someday. Let's put in a workaround for 5.6. Stupid things
    like this always come back to bite us.

    I don't think this has anything to with the build - even a
    natively compiled nedit should have this problem. Would you
    verify that this fixes it? I could simulate the problem by
    setting XKEYSYMDB to a bogus file but I don't have access to
    any xorg 7.0 systems (which is what I think this is problem
    is really bound to).
