Hello,

I've some user macro added to the background menu,
mainly funtions to find some specific tags.
For some of them I've also added key bindings, which
worked fine in the beginnig. I've added some more
functions and now the following occurs:

- I use a find-function with the key binding:
SHIFT+CTRL+S (or some other bindings)
- the tag is found in the text
- it is replace with : <dc3>

When calling the function over the backwindow menu
everything works fine.
I changed the bindings, but the same error occurs. I've
checked all key bindings and there was no interleaving
with other functions or key bindings.

At first, I had these functions with the same key
bindings in the macro menu. There the bindings worked.

Some technical informations:
OS: Irix 6.4 Release 6.5
NEdit: NEdit 5.4RC1
With Motif 1.2.4

Thanx for any help

Short cuts for the bg menu don't work reliably (seems to
    depend on
    the toolkit used - lesstif/motif).
As workaround put your macro in the macro menu and define the
shortcut there. If you want the macro additionally in the bg
    menu
    make a entry there containing
    macro_menu_command("name")
where name is the full menu name of the macro.

    Did the workaround help?
