Run nedit frist, then open a new window using "file->new", and
change language mode to "Fortran" using "Preference->Language

We don't seem to be able to reproduce it.
I've tried it on HPUX and Solaris. Even Purify
    can't find anything abnormal.
There were some recent changes in the syntax
highlighting code however; can you still
reproduce it with the latest development version?
Did you customize the Fortran highlighting
    patterns ?
