#136 NEdit won't work on Sun graphic card

Program (402)

Pleas help ASAP.......

I use NEdit in my day to day work and can not get it to
work on my machine. I have a Sun Ultra 60 with a
Elite-M6 and Elite-M3 graphics card. What I am finding
is that the Elite-M3 card causes NEdit to abort with
the listed error below.

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter
out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 78 (X_CreateColormap)
Value in failed request: 0x28
Serial number of failed request: 18
Current serial number in output stream: 21

I think it is also failing on the EXPERT graphics card
also. It does however work on my Elite-M6 card. To fix
the problem I even down loaded the source code and
compiled on our machine but this did not help.

Version is:
NEdit Version 5.2
October 2001

Built on: Solaris, Sparc, Forte C
Built at: Feb 15 2002, 13:34:51
With Motif: 1002 [@(#)OSF/Motif Version 1.2.6]
Running Motif: 1002
Server: Sun Microsystems, Inc. 3600

    Try running:

    nedit -xrm '*visualID: Default'

If that doesn't work, download our latest working source off
the website (under "snapshot"). We've made some recent
    fixes in this area.

Thank you for all the help.....!!!

The new Beta snapshot we downloaded fixed the problem. For
some reason it must of not been the graphic card, but
really the monitor xxx:0.1 which it did not like, no matter
what graghic card we used. This was the case on all dual
    monitor Sun Solaris machines.

    Thank you again....
