Installation Guide

System Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Windows 10 version 1809 (build 17763 or later)
• Administrator privileges
• 100 MB free disk space

Recommended

• Windows 10/11
• SSD for faster file operations
• System Restore enabled (for safety features)

Installation Steps

1. Download the latest release from our Releases Page
2. Choose either:
3. NeatShift.exe (single file, larger size)
4. NeatShift-Release.zip (compressed package)

Running NeatShift

When running NeatShift for the first time, you might see a Windows SmartScreen warning. This is normal for new applications without an expensive code signing certificate. Here's how to proceed:

1. When you see the SmartScreen warning:
   

2. Click "More info"

3. Click "Run anyway"

4. This is safe because NeatShift is open source
5. Also it has been scanned on multiple sites such as Virustotal.

Verifying Installation

After installation:

1. The application should start automatically
2. You'll see the modern Windows 11-style interface
3. No additional setup is needed
