Because there isnt one single team working on 2.0, there are several variations of it built by different groups. As far as im aware, the builds are so significatly different that it would be impossible to merge all projects together and get 1 single branch. Looks like 1 project will have to be declared the "official" branch at some point. -----Original Message----- From: ndo...@li... So what is behind all these silence? Please those who have access to Kelvin, please tell him to declare his position, we just cannot stay here not knowing where we are or where we are going. A little bit of respect to users of your work is part of open source process, or is he going closed source? Has anybody heard anything from Donald Kackman or Kevin Downs recently? They took over as admins on the project after I stopeed working on it, but I haven't seen them in a while. Since one of them removed me as project administrator, I can't really do much with the SourceForge site or CVS, but I can probably get SF support to fix that if I explain the situation. If they don't appear sometime soon to let us know what their plans may be, we should do exactly as you suggest and just make take one of the existing builds and check it in and make a release. Since the bulk of the original NDoc code was under the GPL, I assume that means any changes that have been made that they distribute must include source. But we should probably make sure this is known, or at least ask who wants to volunteer their branch to become the NDoc 2.0. Do we have a definitive list of 2.0 builds that we can choose from? I'll wait a few days to see if Don or Kevin appears. If not, I'll contact SF support and get them to give me admin access. --=20 Jason On 5/17/06, Mark Ingram <mi...@so...> wrote: > Because there isnt one single team working on 2.0, there are several > variations of it built by different groups. > As far as im aware, the builds are so significatly different that it > would be impossible to merge all projects together and get 1 single > branch. > > Looks like 1 project will have to be declared the "official" branch at > some point. > > > -----Original Message----- > From: ndo...@li... > [mailto:ndo...@li...] On Behalf Of Karl > Waclawek > Sent: 17 May 2006 16:23 > To: ndo...@li... > Subject: [ndoc-devel] NDoc2 - CVS? > > From googling the web I can see that several alpha releases of NDOC 2.0 > have been made so far, but none publicly. No source for the latter, just binaries. It appears as if Kevin Downs' version is a rewrite of the original, according to his comments on some MS blog. I guess everyone is waiting for him to release some source. What I don't understand is that, if he has so little time, why does he not want anyone to help out? Karl |

The code that Jonas Lagerblad originally posted has been updated and is now part of the NDOC05 project. I solved some of the issues that were outstanding from Jonas' updates and passed the code on. The latest I'm aware of (I'm not sure if it is 1.3.1 v16) can be found at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ndoc05.
