> This one is probably for you, Kevin... ;-) Oooh, don't you just hate it when an email starts like that! It brings back painful memories of "suggestions" from marketing droids... ;) ===================== OK, It's probably a good idea to an give you a quick update on where we stand at the moment and what we are planning Over the next few weeks, we hope to have the next beta (1.3b) released. There are a still couple of outstanding issues that we have to fix, but apart from those, we are basically feature-complete for this release. The beta 1.3b will be fairly short (weeks rather than months); we just want to get feedback on any major problems before 1.3 is officially released. Once 1.3 is out of the way, my first priority will be to get .Net v2.0 supported. This will probably take a couple of short interim releases, each adding improved support for all the new goodies like generics and so on... Don will be working on enhancing the new VS.NET documenter so that it can produce CHM output - a single code-base will make it much easier to incorporate future requests ;) In parallel with the .Net v2.0 upgrades, I will be working on a complete re-implementation of our reflection and documentation merge process. The current process has a number of limitations that are just insurmountable with the current code-base. Part of the new Reflection-Merge will be a much more complete (and flexible) inheritance mechanism (subject of another email). [Note: all the above are *plans*, so don't be upset if it doesn't happen as described...] Regards, Kevin |
