I've been trying for a while now to get my Inspiron 9400/Dell 1500 machine
working with Kubuntu 6.10, and hopefully someone can help out here, because
I'm all out of ideas.
Linux db2admin-laptop 2.6.17-10-generic #2 SMP Fri Oct 13 15:34:39 UTC 2006
gcc 4.1, matches my kernel build, gcc version 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease)
I'm using ndiswrapper 1.28, which I built after cleaning out the version
that came with my release. I'm using bcmwl5.inf/BCMWL564.SYS for 64 bit
lspci -n: 0c:00.0 0280: 14e4:4328 (rev 01)
Ndiswrapper -l looks OK:
bcmwl5 driver installed, hardware (14E4:4328) present
Although I have to manually associate it with the hardware when I first load
the driver (ndiswrapper -a).
After I modprobe it though, I get the following output in dmesg:
[ 38.426082] ndiswrapper version 1.28 loaded (preempt=no,smp=yes)
[ 38.489782] ndiswrapper (link_pe_images:577): fixing KI_USER_SHARED_DATA

Any ideas on what I can try next?
