You might want to look at using NetworkManager for this sort of thing.
It also supports (along with wpa_supplicant) dealing with having
different encryption types and/or keys, etc. between the different wlans.
Be warned. Some people really like NetworkManager; some despise it. As
with the other response, check on a Fedora specific forum.
