I have been trying to get my WPC54Gv2 card (TI chip, not broadcom chip) to
work using WPA-PSK (wpa_supplicant 0.2.4). After a couple of days trying I
downloaded a trial of driverloader and using it instead of ndiswrapper and
everything worked perfectly. Went back to ndiswrapper and again AUTH fails.
The wpa_config, access point, and everything else is the same except for the
driverloader module instead of the ndiswrapper module and the change of
-Dndiswrapper to -Dhostap on the wpa_supplicant command line.
Is this a known problem? Is there a fix/workaround?
Kernel is 2.4.26
AP is a WRT54GS
Latest ndis drivers from Linksys site ( don't have the version number handy)
Don't know if it matters but the eapol_version needs to be 1 for the Linksys.
Another interesting thing is that I tried using a Cisco AP 1100
(eapol_version 2) and ndiswrapper worked! So he problem is specific to the
Linksys AP and/or eapol_version 1. I'd blame wpa_supplicant except it works
Thanks for any hints/comments,
