Hello all. I thought I might be missing something, so I figured I'd run this by some hopefully more experienced people than myself. I'm using Fedora Core 3 test 1. The current kernel (2.6.7-1.478) is running ndiswrapper quite well, haven't had any trouble at all. I decided to update to the current kernel in Rawhide (2.6.7-1.494). My Nvidia driver installed okay through their normal installation program. I ran "make install" for ndiswrapper, everything looked okay. ndiswrapper -l printed out the driver I had loaded previously, so I went ahead and did a modprobe, and I got an error. I don't remember it exactly, but it referred to the old kernel in some version message (version magic "2.6.7-1.478 4KSTACKS 686" should be "2.6.7-1.494 4KSTACKS 686" or something like that). Is there a problem with the kernel, or a problem with what I'm doing? More info: Both kernels' sources are in /usr/src There is no /usr/src/linux symlink. Should there be? The kernel running when I compiled the driver for 494 was the 494 kernel. The module was installed to /lib/modules/2.6.7-1.494/misc, so I don't think it's looking at the wrong sources..... I know 4K stacks are a no-no, but it works, so I figure why mess with it. I'm using ndiswrapper 0.8 on a Motorola 802.11g card (Broadcom 4320), but I don't think that's an issue. Needless to say, I'm lost. I'm running the original kernel again and didn't have to do anything except reboot and ndiswrapper kicked in just fine. Ack. Any help is appreciated. JC |

Do a make clean in the ndiswrapper directory Re-compile and re-install ndiswrapper |
