I am using ndiswrapper in a 64-bit version of CentOS (basically redhat
I downloaded the 64-bit driver for the broadcom 4306 and went through
the install instructions. iwconfig does display info for wlan0 and
ndiswrapper -l shows that it is installed correctly.
I am using the latest ndiswrapper 1.1
I am not able to set the essid no matter what i try. I created the
file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0, as it was not created
I use 2 networks, and neither of them broadcast the essid.
I used to use ndiswrapper 0.10 on a 32bit computer with a broadcom and
had scripts to connect to both networks... no problem.
With this new version and the 64 bit OS and driver, I am not able to
get the essid set. I checked the FAQ and it says to enable essid
broadcasting. I do not have that option, and it worked on the older
version / 32 bit...
Any ideas? I tried modifying the correct .conf file under
/etc/ndiswrapper and setting the essid and key there, and set radio to
0 and 1... nothing has worked.
