NDISWRAPPER 0.9+ works with the Motorola WN825G CardBus PC card listed
as model WN825GV2 under Fedora Core 2. This device is PCI ID 14E4:4320
and has the lspci -vb string "Broadcom Corporation BCM94306 802.11g
My only problem is that I have to manually 'modprobe ndiswrapper' to get
the card running. It won't come up and get an IP from my DHCP server at
boot time. NDISWRAPPER doesn't show as loaded when I run 'lsmod'. I am
guessing this might be due to modprobe running prior to pcmcia
initialization in Fedora Core 2. The card wouldn't be recognized before
pcmcia runs, so I reason that ndiswrapper doesn't load at modprobe time.
Am I on target here? How can I fix that...make pcmcia run earlier in the
I have not yet tried WPA, but plan to tomorrow. It works fine with WEP.
I also have a Buffalo Technology model WLI-CB-G54A CardBus card on
order. I want it for the external antenna jack that it has. 2 to 4 weeks
to get it. Makes me wonder how much strong a market presence Buffalo
