Good day all, First of all, great work coming up with such an innovative idea, allowing linux users to use proprietary drivers. I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 with a TrueMobile 1400 a/b/g card. From what I understand this card is based on the Broadcom 4309 chipset which is supported by ndiswrapper. I installed ndiswrapper 0.7 from source on my Fedora Core 2 laptop. I used the drivers found on http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/supported_chipsets.html for my chipset and installed them as per the instructions. This has provided me with partial functionality. I'm not sure if this is related to my problem) However, when I attempt to use iwconfig to connect to the access point I have no luck. At first I tried with WEP enabled and encountered a segmentation fault which brought my laptop to halt each time I attempted to connect. # /sbin/ipconfig wlan0 essid rimbuk channel 1 key restricted HEXKEYHERE This has was attempted on two separate APs... one B and one G. If I disable WEP the command does not segfault, but I can't connect. iwconfig shows the interface being connected, but it won't take an IP, even if I manually invoke dhclient on the wlan0 interface. dhclient tells me that the interface is down. I have searched the mailing list and the FAQ and did not see an answer to this particular problem - I apologize if I have missed something obvious.
