Yes: Network device support -> Wireles LAN (non-hamradio) -> Wireless LAN 
(non-hamradio).

Saying y to this is neccessary, it's not neccessary to say y to any 
drivers(exept you need one)

[Ndiswrapper-general] Kernel 2.6 Problem

Hello!

I have some troubles getting ndiswrapper (lates cvs and 0.2) running
under Gentoo using a 2.6.0-test11 kernel.=20

Note however with kernel 2.4.20 I can successfully get my Truemobile
1300 (BCM94306) working. Even wep and setting essid works without any
problems.

But not so with 2.6.0-textXX

I can insmod the kernel module and load the windows driver without any
errors. But iwconfig says:

eth1 no wireless extensions.

dmesg only states ndiswrapper 2.0 loaded

Make sure you have enabled wireless extensions in the kernel config.

NARF! Now I know why it didn't work on my other machine >_<

Is it possible to include something like this in ndis.h

#ifndef CONFIG_NET_RADIO
#error "You need to enable CONFIG_NET_RADIO in your kernel!"
#endif

that would have helped me a lot finding this mistake >_<

I should realized it sooner as there was no `/proc/net/wireless' file
on my box

May a better idea is to motify the REAME file to invide the potential
user to check the existence of the file `/proc/net/wireless'.
