Tested with 2.6.13-gentoo kernel on x86_64 with ipn2220 chipset. I was
able to scan, associate, get DHCP address; although I haven't done more
testing now. Rmmod works cleanly too.

It seems to fix my problems too. Work perfectly with RTL8180 with
2.6.14-rc3with 16stacks and suspend2.
