I am trying to get a Dell Truemobile 1450 minipci wlan to work under SuSE10.2. I am
using ndiswrapper 1.37 and followed andrewd18's tutorial step by step.
Ndiswrapper seems to install fine. I used the following drivers linked
off the ndiswrapper wiki:
Card: Dell Wireless 1450 (802.11a/b/g) Dual-Band WLAN miniPCI Card
* Chipset: Broadcom BCM4309 (rev 03)
* pciid: 14e4:4324
* Other: Use bcmwl5a.inf in AR directory. ndiswrapper 1.0, kernel
2.6.10, gentoo. The ndiswrapper module has difficulties to start if
your notebook isn't connected to the sector.
Okay, so when I
issue "ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5a.inf", I get the message "Forcing
Parameter IBSSGMode from 0 to 2" which I understand means
I need a different driver.
But... I installed the exact driver
off the ndiswrapper wiki, so how do I find a driver if the one they
recommend doesn't seem to work?
I'm a newb so keep things simple - many thanks for the help.
