Hi forum community. Hope someone can help me. I'm a linux noob, so please be

Running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a Toshiba Equium L10 -273 and trying to get the
tosh std Foxconn T60N871 wireless card working with ndiswrapper.

    I followed video instructions here :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Ist9aE
and all was going very well
    till near the end.

ndiswrapper -i neti2220.inf seemed to install ok
ndiswrapper -m seemed to add the alias ok
ifconfig wlan0 up gives error wlan0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No
    such device

I've searched a bit for a solution and now stuck.
ndiswrapper -l gives neti2220 : driver installed device (17FE:2220) present
dmesg ¦ grep ndiswrapper gives nothing at all
    iwconfig gives no wireless extensions
lspci gives 2:04.0 0200: 17fe:2220 but no (rev xx) at the end (not sure if
    this is important.

    thanks in advance...

I havn't seen the video and I don't know how network-drivers are handled by
Ubuntu, but if you can't find any ndiswrapper message in the logs then the
ndiswrapper kernel module probably hasn't been loaded.

    you could try a:

    modprobe ndiswrapper

and look into the logs, if something has happened now.
If you're lucky enough, the driver works now and ifconfig will succeed. If it
doesn't work, the logs should show same errors.
