I have quite large files for 50 ensemble members and ncea sometimes exits without producing the correct output and writes only an incomplete *tmp file. Is a parallel option available to compile on linux? If so would that help? Any suggestions how best to handle this problem?
A parallel option would probably make matter worse, if by parallel you mean
SMP or MPI. I say this because ncea is quite stable and usually only
fails due to lack of RAM for large datasets. The advice you seek is here:
