I am trying to copy a hyperslab from one file into another i.e. I want to overwrite the corresponding hyperslab in the second file with that from the first. I think I have to use ncap2 for this, but can't see how to do it.
I see how I might do it. Take first file and replace all but hyperslab with 0(ncap2). Take second file and replace hyperslab with 0(ncap2). Add the two files together(ncbo).
Now I can't see how to use ncap2 to mask out all but the hyperslab.
Is there a simpler way to do this?
I cannot think of a simpler way. Your method will work. You can use the ncap2
'where' and 'elsewhere' commands for masking inside and outside regions, or you can use explicit hyperslap indices....
Thanks. I did end up masking all but the hyperslab using ncap2 twice. My region was a corner. Using the 'where' command was not an option because my spatial axes did not correspond to my index axes.
