I'm slightly confused about which is the latest version of NCIDpop for Mac OS X. It appears that the latest is to be found in ncidpop-0.9.12.dmg, yet the app within it is version 0.9.5. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. The changes were applied to the Windows code only, not the Macintosh so its version number did not change. We need someone with a Macintosh that can update the code so it has all the features of the Windows version.
You might want to look at the NCID home page and go to the OSX Pop-up link. It is a output module that has some nice features you might like.
