#52 [Solved] ncid-1.13-1-armhf: Cannot install 'perl:armhf'

Trying to install ncid_1.13-1_armhf.deb in a RPi4 running Raspbian Bullseye (64bit) and I get the followig:

sudo gdebi /tmp/ncid_1.13-1_armhf.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Reading state information... Done
This package is uninstallable
Cannot install 'perl:armhf'

Tried installing (sudo aptitude install perl:armhf), but that leads to all kinds of warnings about other conflicting packages.

I am answering my own question, for anybody else that might encounter the same problem!

Solved: Install NCID packages in Raspbian Bullseye 32bit OS, not 64bit!

As the poster noted, the Raspbian distribution is 32 bit. At some point NCID will switch to 64-bit.
