Hi I’m newish to NC_Net. We have a server that keeps spewing eventvwr errors (see below four errors which keep repeating) with NC_Net as the source and a event id of 13001 which I believe is just a generic event and the issue is probably not NC_Net itself. This machine was created using a hdd removed from another machine and sysprep’d. The physical hardware is exactly the same and the source server that was used to create the server image isn’t having any of the below error messages. We only using active checks at this time. The processor is a single dual core processor.
Exeption occured during Counter check :Instance '3' does not exist in the specified Category.::>\Processor(3)\% Processor Time
Exeption occured during Counter check :Instance '2' does not exist in the specified Category.::>\Processor(2)\% Processor Time
Exeption occured during Counter check :Instance 'aspnet_wp' does not exist in the specified Category.::>\Process(aspnet_wp)\Working Set
Exeption occured during Counter check :Instance 'aspnet_wp' does not exist in the specified Category.::>\Process(aspnet_wp)\Private Bytes
We've update NC_Net to the latest version but we're still getting the error messages
Thanks for your help

NC_NEt is designed when installed and configured properly it will have only one event per Startup.
THe errors above indicate that the Nagios configuration to this server is trying to access resourses that do not exist on the windows server. TO fix this, review your nagios configuration files for this server verify that the resources exist from running check_nc_net from the command line. Check_nc_net has a lot of enumeration checks that assist in validating resources before configuring in nagios.
Other errors in NC_Net usually indicate NC_Net configuration issues, or other Windows Server Issues that NC_Net was able to help diagnose by throwing errors.
Good Luck,
let me know how it works out or if you need more assistance.
Tony
